Ferry bus catches fire in Taikkyi Twsp

No casualties were reported after a ferry bus belonging to a garment factory caught fire in Taikkyi Township, Yangon Region, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.
    

The ferry bus caught fire near a filling station in Yintaik village on the Yangon-Pyay Road at about 6 p.m. on September 18. The fire is believed to have started from an overheated cable wire and the flame was put out with the use of two fire engines by firefighters from a local fire service station.
    

No one was injured in the incident, but the vehicle was badly damaged by the fire. Action has been taken against the bus driver identified as Thein Zaw Htet over fire negligence by the police.
