Drugs seized in Naungcho, Kyaukme townships

Acting on a tip-off, police members from Naungcho Anti-Drug Squad raided the house of Kyaw Zin Htway in Ngokkha Village in Naungcho Township, Shan State at about 8:30 am on 22 September, and confiscated 5800 stimulant tablets, heroin weighing 0.063 kilo and K 78000 in the house, according to the information released by Myanmar Police Force.

In a similar incident on the same day, Police members from Kyaukme Anti-Drug Squad intercepted a motorbike driven by Han Tun Zaw near a toll gate on Muse-Mandalay Road in Khaukme Township, Shan State, and seized 2000 stimulant tablets from him.

The authorities filed charges against the two under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—MPF
