DRD to build rural roads, bridges in Gangaw District

The Department of Rural Development will build rural roads and bridges in six villages in Gangaw District, Magway Region in the current fiscal year.


The rural developmental tasks will be carried out at a cost of Ks 194.9 million allocated in the financial year 2020-2021 with the aim of helping rural people in Gangaw District export their products to the markets quickly, said an official from the DRD. Rural roads and box culverts would be built in Yehla and Saidu Villages in Gangaw Township, and Htanpingon, Tharakhar, Pyinle and Thalel Villages in Htilin Township.


Once completed, locals from the six villages will be able to transport their agricultural products to other areas in a convenient manner, said U Win Aung, Staff Officer from the DRD.
