27 new virus cases recorded in Magway Region

Magway Region saw 27 new covid-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total number of virus caseload to 3,003, according to data updated by the Department of Public Health.


There are still people in the region who are free of the virus and are in good health and have been discharged from the hospital. The infected virus patients on January17 were from Salin,Magway, Aunglan, Seikphyu, Minbu, Pakkoku, Saw, Natmauk, Chauk and Yenangyoung Townships.


A contact tracing process is being conducted to expose people who had close contact with the coronavirus patients. Meanwhile, 283 virus patients are receiving medical treatment at various hospitals in the region, said Dr Khin Maung Than, assistant director of the region's Department of Public Health.


Magway Region recorded 3,003 confirmed coronavirus cases in total, with 2,711 patients discharging from hospital and nine deaths.
