THE construction of an extended two-storeyed building in Mongnai Township, southern Shan State has been completed 95 per cent, it is learnt.

The extended building was constructed by Cherry King Construction Company with K475.03 million funded by the Ministry of Health and Sports. The construction of the extended building is aimed to provide better healthcare services to local people.

The project was started in February 2020 and was completed 95 per cent so far. The extended two-storeyed hospital started its construction with spending of K193.60 million from the regional government’s fund of the 2019-2020 financial year and K281.43 million fund of the 2020-21 financial year.

The extended building is a two-storeyed RC building and it is 143 feet in length and 98 feet in width. The extended building was nearly completed 100 per cent, said an official from the Cherry King Construction Company.

The construction of the hospital is being monitored by the township construction committee. Upon completion of the whole project, the hospital will be more convenient to deal with emergency cases occurring within the townships.
