DRD-financed rural road to be commissioned into service in Sidoktaya Twsp

The Department of Rural Development is stepping up construction of rural roads in Sidoktaya Township, Magway Region to make it easier for local people in rural areas to travel in all seasons and to export agricultural products to other areas.


An inter-village road built by the DRD in the township at a cost of Ks 29.25 million allotted by the local government in the fiscal year 2019-2020 has reportedly been cent percent completed. The earthen type road is 1 mile and five furlongs long and 16 ft. wide and construction of the rural road began on January 12.


Local people three villages will be able to use the new road in all seasons with greater ease, thereby contributing to their socioeconomic development in health, education and transport sectors.
