Myanmar receives one million COVID-19 vaccines order; China donates over 500,000

THE aircraft of Air China carrying the COVID-19 vaccines purchased by Myanmar and donated by the People's Republic of China arrived in Yangon yesterday.

 

The flight carried one million Sinovac vaccines purchased by Myanmar and 528,000 Sinopharm, and 608,000 needles donated to Myanmar by PRC.

Vaccines and medical supplies will be effectively used depending on the infection rate of regions/states by the Ministry of Health and Sports in line with the National Development Plan.

 

Of two million vaccines donated by China, Myanmar received 736,000 doses of COVID- 19 vaccines and other related materials manufactured by Sinopharm Company on 22 July. The remaining vaccines will arrive on 24 July, according to the Ministry of Health and Sports.
