Drugs were seized in Kengtung and Tachileik Townships, Shan State, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
A combined team, including officers from the Anti-Drugs Squad, stopped and searched a motorcycle driven by Kyayaw near Kyaingfawn Village in Kengtung Township, Shan State, at 1:30 p.m. on March 10. They seized 10,000 stimulant tablets worth Ks 4 million.
Additionally, the joint team searched a motorbike driven by Sai Haung near Meyan Village in Tachileik Township at 4:00 p.m. on March 9 and seized 0.3 kg of ketamine. Following the investigation, the team raided a house rented by Sai Haung in Pavung Village, Tachileik Township, at 4:30 p.m. on the same day and seized 0.95 kg of ketamine, bringing the total to 1.25 kg of ketamine, worth Ks 12.5 million, along with 0.162 kg of "Happy Water," worth Ks 17.8 million.
Similarly, the joint team searched a YOYOTA Hilux Vigo vehicle near Hakyamano Village in Tachileik Township at 10:00 a.m. on March 10, and seized 500,000 methamphetamine pills worth Ks 200 million.
The suspects have been charged under the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law.— MNA
