Joint Consultative Meeting held via videoconference

U Chan Aye, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated in the Joint Consultative Meeting which was held via videoconference yesterday at 1pm from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw.

 

The Joint Consultative Meeting was chaired by Ms Emaleen ABD Rahman Teo, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam as ASEAN Chair and attended by ASEAN Senior Officials from Three Pillars, ASEAN Permanent Representatives and the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN.

 

At the Joint Consultative Meeting, the Senior Officials discussed and exchanged views on matters pertaining to ASEAN 2021 Priorities and key deliverables including ASEAN Community Post-2025 Vision and Mid-Term Review of the Implementation of the ASEAN Community Blueprints 2025, , ASEAN’s Key initiatives on COVID-19 Response, Cross-sectoral and Cross- pillar Issues/ Coordination, ASEAN Connectivity, Promoting Complementarities between the ASEAN Community Vision 2025 and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Promoting Sub-Regional Cooperation for Sustainable Development.

 

Dr. Wah Wah Maung, Director-General from Ministry for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and U Aung Myint, Director-General from Ministry for Religious Affairs and Culture also attended the meeting from their respective offices. —MNA
