Q: According to the Khit Thit media report, three military vehicles with 50 soldiers were ambushed by Kalay PDF on the way from Gangaw to Kalay on 27 June, killing three soldiers. Can you confirm that?

A: There was a clash between the armed terrorists and the security forces near Nat Chaung village, Kalay Township, on Kalay-Gangaw road at around 2:30 pm on 27 June and the armed terrorists retreated in the west after disrupting about 10 minutes. The report of Khit Thit Media that 9 soldiers were killed in an ambush by PDF was fake news.

Q: After a bomb blast in the back of the Immigration Office in No (1) ward, Thamaing, near Bayintnaung bridge, Mayangon Township, Tatmadaw opened fire in the ward, according to the report of Khit Thit Media. We would like to know the truth.

A: According to the reports of a homemade bomb blast in the corner of Bogyoke Road and 12th road in No (1) ward, Mayangon Township, at around 2:30 pm on 27 June, security forces went to the scene and another homemade bomb exploded near the vehicle of the security forces on the way. The bomb was dropped from a white colour Honda Fit car on Bogyoke Road and detonated by remote control. Due to the explosion, one member of the security forces and one civilian were injured and the security forces were blocking the roads and searching for the car and there was no shooting in the ward. — MNA
