The footage, aired on Monday, show police officers with clubs in their hands chasing protesters as an officer drove his motorcycle multiple times into protesters before leaving the scene.

Local media report that two people were injured.

Police told reporters that the officer on the motorbike was trying to tear attacking protesters away from his colleagues, but added that the officer has been suspended due to his action, which was uncalled for.

Critics are accusing police on social media, saying that it looks like police are trying to kill citizens.
