Collective tree growing ceremony held in Pwintbyu Tsp.

A collective tree-planting ceremony to mark Myanmar Women’s Day that falls on 3 July took place in Kyunbinsan Village, Pwintbyu Township in Magway Region this morning.

The event was organized by the township Administrator U Tun Thein Aung and Chairperson of the township Women’s Affairs Association Daw Nan Ni Ni Win in cooperation with residents and staff from the township Forest Department in an attempt to keep environment green and to prevent rivers and creeks from erosion.

With the aim of keeping the environment green, maintaining soil and temperature, the participants planted 100 saplings including teak and mango trees.—Ye Win Naing(Nyaung-U)
