The prize awarding ceremony of an invitational Sepak takraw contest (open) was held in Danubyu Township, Ayeyawady Region yesterday evening.
The competition named, “Township Development Committee Chairman’s Cup” was organized by the Sports and Physical Education Department under the Ministry of Health and Sports under its Township Sports Development Programme. First, Chairman of the township development committee U Tin Maung Win expressed thanks to the event organizers, saying the contest was held with the aim of producing outstanding athletes capable of promoting the country’s dignity.
Next, concerned officials presented prizes to award winners. Present on the occasion were the regional lawmakers, departmental staff and Chinlone enthusiasts.—Htet Wai Phyo
