Coronavirus patient discharged from hospital in Pwintbyu Twsp

A coronavirus-positive woman being treated at a temporary quarantine center was discharged from the hospital on November 11, according to Dr Soe Soe Naing, Medical Superintendent from the Department of Public Health.


The woman returned from Yangon on October 28 and was placed under observation at a facility quarantine center. The woman tested positive for coronavirus on November 3 and was quarantined at a high school that was diverted into a quarantine center. She was discharged from the hospital on November 11 after showing no symptoms of the virus.


The woman was sent back home in Kani Village in Pwintbyu Township by an ambulance from a local social organization and she will be put under observation at her home for one week in accordance with the protocols issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports.


20 cases of the Covid-19 have been reported so far in Pwintbyu Township, with 16 patients have been discharged from the hospital and four positive patients at the quarantine center, said the medical superintendent.
