An event to return land plots to rightful owners was held at the meeting hall of the General Administration Department in Kunhaing Township, Shan State this morning.
Around 5 acres of land were confiscated by the Ministry of Electricity and Energy in 1991. On the occasion, Chairman of the township scrutiny committee for confiscated farmland U Soe Win delivered an opening address. Next, the chairman, Shan State MP U Sai San Tun and Farmer’s representative U Sai Tun Kyi presented land use certificates to the rightful owners.
Present on the occasion were Shan State MPs, committee members, farmers and land owners.
