A stake-driving ceremony for construction of a community center was held in the compound of the office of Information and Public Relations Department in Natmauk Township, Magway Region this morning.
On the occasion, Magway Region Minister for Immigration and Human Resource U Myint Aung, Minister of Labout U Myint Swe, Magway Region MP U Thaung Shwe and concerned officials drove the stakes at designated places and sprinkled scented water on it. Upon completion of the community center, it is expected to host talk shows, sports activities, vocational training courses, literature festivals, and other events.
The three-storey reinforced concrete structure is being built with the Union Budget allotted in the current financial year, said Daw Ohnmar Khin, an official from the township IPRD.
