Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) provided medical equipment to the Central Women’s Hospital in Lanmadaw yesterday to help the hospital in its fight against COVID-19.
A donation ceremony was held at the hospital, and attended by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw, senior officers from the Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army), Yangon Command’s Commander Brigadier General Nyunt Win Swe, Chief of Yangon Region Public Health and Medical Services Department Dr Tun Myint, and the hospital’s medical superintendent Dr Khin May Thwin and officials.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing handed over 20,000 surgical masks, 200 N95 masks, 500 surgical gowns, 1,000 gloves, 3 buckets of Sodium Hypochloride, Fetal Doppler, CTG Machine (Fetal Monitor), portable ultrasound, and portable X-Ray to the hospital’s medical superintendent.
Adjutant-General Lt-Gen Myo Zaw Thein presented nutritious foods – 1, 300 eggs, 1, 300 yogurt bottles, 44 packets of Shwe Phee Oo, and 44 packets of Nan Myaing Coffee – for the hospital’s patients and staff.
Dr Khin May Thwin received the foods and expressed words of thanks for the donation.
In addition, Tatmadaw provided foods for press council, artists, and Lethwei organization at the Tatmadaw Hall in Dagon Township, Yangon yesterday.
At the ceremony, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing handed over 500 rice bags, 1,000 visses of oil, 1,000 visses of peas, and 1,000 visses of salt to Chairman of Myanmar Motion Picture Organization U Nyi Nyi Tun Lwin, who received the foods on behalf of Myanmar Media Council, artists, and Lethwei organization.
On behalf of the organizations, Chairman of Myanmar Media Council Hanthawady U Ohn Kyaing expressed thanks to Tatmadaw for the donations.
