New concrete road opens in Hlaingbwe Twsp.

A ceremony to put a concrete road into service was held at the entrance of the Road in Hpapun Village in Hlaingbwe Township, Kayin State this morning.


At the ceremony, a Buddhist Monk U warathami from Ywa-U Monastery and staff officer of the township Department of Rural Development Daw Aye Mya Nandar Tun delivered opening speeches. Next, a community leader explained the facts about construction works of the Road and gave words of thanks to officials, and a Buddhist Monk and staff officer of DRD cut a ceremonial ribbon to formally open the new concrete road section and sprinkled the scented water on it.


The road measuring 1485 ft. in length, 14 ft. in width and 6 inches in thickness was constructed at a cost of about K. 22.05 Million provided by the Community-Based Project and World Bank.
