Representatives from the township management committee provided relief supplies to the internally displaced people at a rescue camp in Ann Township in Rakhine State this morning.
The township management committee members handed over 103 rice bags, 201 bottles of cooking oil, household items, and tarpaulin donated by the government of India to 274 displaced people from 64 households. Arrangements are being made to contribute similar assistance to the IDPs.
Majority of the displaced people came from Khamoungtaw, Melamoung, Kyaing Chaung, Metaung Chayin and Darleththaung Villages in Ann Township.—Win Ei Mon (IPRD)
