World Cup Qualifiers: Myanmar team’s matches to be held in October

Due to the better conditions of the global pandemic COVID-19, World Cup Qualifiers will start again in October, according to the official statement with the Myanmar Football Federation yesterday. MFF has stated that football authorities from Asian Football Confederation contacted the MFF for the Myanmar team matches of the World Cup Qualifiers to be held in October and November.


Away match of Myanmar vs Japan will be played on 8 October, 2020 and Myanmar vs Kyrgyzstan match will be played on 13 October 2020 at the Mandalar Thirir Stadium in Mandalay. Myanmar will play another away match against Tajikistan team on 17 November 2020.


International football matches and other international sports tourneys were postponed over two months period due to the global pandemic but football officials are now arranging for holding the tourneys again with strict conditions according to the betterment of the pandemic condition.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
