WLC-7: “Mighty Warriors” to take place in Mandalay

The World Lethwei Championship (WLC), the seventh event of its kind will be staged at Mandalat Thiri Indoor Stadium in Mandalay on 22 February.

Myanmar’s young Lethwei warrior Saw Htoo Aung will clash with Portugal’s contender Antonio Faria for the Light Welterweight World Lethwei belt in the main event. Antonio Faria knocked out Myanmar Lethwei fighter Mite Yine in the previous WLC Lethwei ring. Rising Lethwei star Shwe Rahman will fight against Ukrainian Muay Thai star Sasha Moisa in the co main event of the challenge titled, “Mighty Warriors”.

 

Cambodia's top superstar Pich Mtes Khmang will make his second Lethwei debut in Myanmar. The Kun Khmar pugilist will now test himself again in the WLC Lethwei ring against Vietnamese boxer Nguyen Tran Dhu Nhat in the lightweight category. Myanmar’s knockout artist Yan Naing Tunwho defeated Cambodia’s best fighter Roeung Sophorn in the previous WLC event will face off against his rival Saw Ba Oo in the ring. There will be three other bouts between Myanmar Lethwei fighters to compete for glory.
