Wells being dug in areas with in Meiktila Tsp.

Meiktila Township Department of Rural Development is implementing digging wells in seven villages, Meiktila Township, Mandalay Region.


With the aim of ensuring drinking water in summer for local residents, earthen lakes and wells are being implemented.  This 2019-2020 FY, the Department of Rural Development is undertaking digging wells in Eine, Gwagyo, Phalankyin, Magyigone, Nyaungbinhla, Myintawkan and Segone villages in the Township starting from the first week of January.

 
Digging a well with 700-foot in depth is being implemented in Gwagyo. Wells with 400-foot in depth, construction of earthen lake capable of storing 2000 gallons of water and water plant are being carried out in Nyaungbinhla, Phalankyin, Magyigone and Eine villages. As well, digging wells, constructions of water tank and water supply facilities and installation of power lines are also undertaken in Myintawkan, Segone and Dedok villages.


A quality control team made an inspection on developmental works that are being implemented in the township and urged the responsible people to meet the deadline with target standard.
