A ceremony to provide cash aids for construction of Warnatyoe Creek Bridge in Kyauktaga Township, Bago Region was held at Township General Administration Department yesterday morning.
Bago Regional Minister for Kayin Ethnic Affairs Daw Naw Pwal Say, Director from the Department of Disaster Management U Thein Htay Aung, Township Administrator and departmental personnel were in attendance. At the ceremony, the Regional Minister for Kayin Ethnic Affairs handed over K 8,915,161 for construction of the bridge to Township Administrator.
The bridge is on Waenayyathuka Road in Kyauktaga Township and it was destroyed by flooding. Therefore, the bridge which is 25 ft in length, 14 ft in width and 12 ft in height will be constructed with funds of National Disaster Management.
Next, the officials also inspected the construction of rural road in Taungkhin village-tract in the township and attended to the needs of the construction to the responsible people from Construction Company.
