Union Minister for Information Dr Pe Myint met with a Nepalese media delegation led by Mr Kishor Shrestha, Chairman of the Press Council of Nepal at his office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
After extending greetings, the Union Minister briefed on functions of the departments and enterprise under the ministry to the delegation.
At the meeting, Nepalese Press Council’s chairman Mr Kishor Shrestha also briefed on the organizational structure of the Nepalese Press Council, operations and activities related with media sector. After the talks, they exchanged gifts.
Also present at the meeting were Deputy Minister U Aung Hla Tun, Chairman of the Myanmar Press Council Hanthawady U Ohn Kyaing, Vice Chairman Dr Myo Thant Tin and members of the MPC, members of the Press Council of Nepal, departmental heads of the Ministry of Information.
