UEC passes advance ballot papers to MoFA for overseas citizen voters

The Union Election Commission’s Director-General U Khin Maung Oo presented third batch of ballot papers and envelopes for 43,422 Myanmar eligible voters abroad for advance voting to Director-General of the Planning and Administrative Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs U Aung Soe Win yesterday.


The township sub-commissions of UEC scrutinized the copies of Form-15 sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the voters in foreign countries.


The UEC handed over first batch of the advance ballot papers and envelopes for 188 overseas eligible voters on 18 September and for 20,426 voters in the second time on 23 September.


The third batch ballot papers and envelopes were for the eligible citizen voters who will cast ballots at the Myanmar embassies in Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul and Kuala Lumpur.


Until now, the UEC has presented advance ballot papers and envelopes for a total of 64,036 voters to the MoFA.
