Thabeikkyin, 16 February
Two men have reportedly died in a gas explosion in Thabeikkyin Township, Mandalay Region, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.
The fatal accident took place in Phat Shay Village, Thabeikkyin Township at about 9:30 a.m. on 14 February when a man attempted to open a gas cylinder of a dump truck. Based on an anonymous tip, a combined squad rushed to the scene of accident where they found two men identified as U Bo Min, 49, and Wai Min Naing, 26, dead with multiple injuries.
The corpses were sent to a public hospital in Thabeikkyin and a probe has been launched by the local police to investigate into the case.—MOHA
