Trade centres Chiang Rai, Mae Hong Son provinces to be shut down

In efforts to prevent spread of Coronavirus infection, border trade centres in Thailand’s two provinces bordering with Shan State and Kayah State will be suspended as from 21 March, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.


The trade centres are located in Chiang Rai and Mae Hong Son provinces.


Following its largest daily increase in coronavirus infections yesterday, with 89 new cases taking the national tally to 411, Thailand announced to shut down malls in Bangkok.
