Three homes were burnt to ashes in a fire in Pyigyidagun Township, Mandalay Region, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The fire broke out at a house of a man named U Aye Kyaw from Ward-F at about 9:20 a.m. on 25 June. The fire is believed to have started from an overheated electric wire and spread nearby house. The blaze was completely put out by firemen in five minutes with the use of 25 fire engines, five water tankers and three administrative vehicles.
Three homes were destroyed in the incident and the house owner is being questioned over fire negligence by the local police.
