Slight earthquake strikes Tanyang Township

No immediate reports of damages or casualties were available following a slight earthquake which was recorded at 4:11 a.m. today, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology announced.  

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.7 on the Richter Scale, with its epicenter inside Myanmar jolted about 16 miles southeast of Tanyang Township, Shan State, at a latitude 22.39°N, and longitude 98.62°E, with depth 5 kilometers and about 86 miles southwest of Hsipaw seismological observatory, the DMH said.—DMH
