Slight earthquake strikes Sagaing Region’s Homalin Township

No immediate reports of damages or casualties were available following a slight earthquake which was recorded at 10:23 a.m. today, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology announced.  


An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.7 on the Richter Scale, with its epicenter inside Myanmar hit about 18 miles east-northeast of Homalin, Sagaing Region, at a latitude 24.91°N, and longitude 95.21°E, with depth 98 kilometers and about 74 miles northeast of Tamu seismological observatory, the DMH said.—MDN
