Slight earthquake strikes Mawlaik Township

No immediate reports of damages or casualties were reported following a slight earthquake which was recorded this morning, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) announced.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter inside Myanmar jolted about 22 miles East-Southeast of Mawlaik Township in Sagaing Region. It was recorded at 2:14 a.m. today at a latitude of 23.56°N, and longitude of 94.76°E, with a depth of 97 kilometers and about 53 miles Northwest of the Kanbalu seismological observatory, said the DMH.—DMH
