School facility built on self-reliant basis inaugurated in Kamai

An inauguration ceremony of a two-storey facility was held in conjunction with a handing over event at a basic education middle school (branch) in Hsaiphayar Village, Kamai Township in Kachin State on 18 February.

 

First, Phakant township assistant administrator, the deputy township education officer, Kamai Town Administrator U Than Htike and members of the school board of trustees cut a ceremonial ribbon to open the new structure. The addresses by the assistant township administrator and the deputy township education officer followed.

Next, the village administrator handed over documents relating to the school facility to the assistant township administrator and the deputy township education officer and a member of school board of trustees spoke words of thanks.

 

The two-storey facility measuring 100 ft. in length, 30 ft. in width and 22 ft. in height was built with Ks. 75 million contributed by members of school board of trustees and local people.—Zwe Thura Aung (IPRD)
