Sawn timbers seized in Htilin Tsp

Htilin, February 14

A contingent of local police, village authorities and forest staff seized a total of 59 sawn padauk timbers in ‘Sapit” creek near the village of Kyin in Htilin township, Gangaw district, Magway region yesterday afternoon.

According to the information received, the team searched and found 49 illegal sawn timbers piled up in ‘Sapit’ creek near Htilin-Kyin motor road. The sawn timbers weighed about 1.5444 tons and were worth K 582818.The team seized the sawn timbers according to forest management law.—Aung Si (IPRD)
