Rural electrification facility launched in Magway Twsp

An inauguration of a rural electrification facility was held in Kangyipyar Village in Magway Township on January 20.
    

The rural electrification structure was formally launched by Magway Region Minister for Natural Resources, Environmental Conservation, Electricity and Energy U Myint Zaw, Upper House MP U Hla Hsan, Magway Region MP Daw Khin Cho Latt, an official from the Electricity Supply Enterprise, and Township Administrator U Thet Lwin by cutting a ceremonial ribbon.


Next, speeches by the lawmakers and an ESE official followed. Afterwards, staff from the ESE distributed pamphlets about the risks of electricity. The power distribution facility was built on a self-reliant basis with the cash donated by local people.


Kangyipyar village became the 39th village in Magway Township that connected to the National Grid under the National Electrification Plan (NEP) and the facility is expected to supply electricity to 200 households in the village.
