Thabeikkyin, 17 September
A man was killed and one other injured after a 12-wheeled truck overturned in Thabeikkyin Township, Mandalay Region, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.
A 12-wheeled truck carrying rice sacks flipped over near Ohntaku Village in Thabeikkyin Township at about 1:30 a.m. on September 13 after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The accident was caused by the faulty braking system of the vehicle and two men were trapped in the front seat. One of them died and one other sustained minor injuries in the incident.
The deceased and injured were sent to a public hospital and action has been taken against the truck driver identified as U Thaung Naing over reckless driving by the police.
