No one injured after passenger bus catches fire in Monywa

No casualties were reported after a passenger bus caught fire in Monywa, Sagaing Region, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.
    

A passenger bus with seven people driven by a man identified as U Maung Maung, 52, from Khinmon Village, ChaungU Township caught fire at about 7:40 p.m. on September 9 while travelling to Monywa from Minbu. The fire is believed to have been caused by an overheated cable wire. The fire lasted about 15 minutes and ceased later.
    

Some parts of the vehicle including two motorbikes were badly damaged by the fire. A case has been opened against the bus driver over fire negligence by the police.
