Myanmar futsal team enroute to Ho Chi Minh for AFF Futsal Championship 2019

THE Myanmar national futsal team left for Ho Chi Minh City yesterday  to  compete  in  the  ASEAN  Football  Federation  (AFF)  Futsal  Championship  2019, which will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam, from 21  to  27  October,  according  to  the  Myanmar  Football  Federation.


There were twenty players representing Myanmar.


The Myanmar futsal team was  seen  off  by  officials  from  the  Myanmar  Football  Federation  at  Yangon  International  Airport yesterday.


The  championship  will  start on 21 October. Before the championship, team Myanmar will play friendly matches with Viet  Nam’s  two  local  futsal  teams: Cao Bang and Sai Gon futsal teams.


Myanmar  will  play  their  first futsal friendly against Cao Bang  futsal  team  on  16  October  and  Sai  Gon  team  on  18  October.The players will be led by head coach U Htay Myint.


After  the  friendly  matches, Myanmar will announce the final  list  of  14  players  for  the  Championship, according to the Myanmar Football Federation.


Team Myanmar is listed in Group A of the championship, together  with  Thailand,  East  Timor  and  Cambodia,  while  host  Viet  Nam  is  in  Group  B  with  Malaysia,  Indonesia  and  Australia.Myanmar will take on East Timor on 21 October, Cambodia on 22 October and Thailand on 23 October during the Group A matches.
