A motorcyclist was confirmed dead after severely rammed into a truck on Kyaikmaraw-Mawlamyine road near Muyaung village, Kyaikmaraw township, Mon state yesterday evening.
The accident occurred at around 8:30 pm when a man driving a motorbike rammed into a truck loaded with firewood. At that time, the truck was stationed on the dark road for repair. The motorcyclist died right at the scene and his body was transported to Mawlamyine People Hospital for medical examination. The accidents between motorcyclists and vehicles stationed on the road without lighting backlights are common, said a local resident.
