A mass cycling event jointly organized by the Sports and Physical Education Department, Myanmar Cycling Federation and Monywa Cycling Federation took place in Monywa, Sagaing Region this morning.
The activity is held with the aim of protecting the youths from risks of drug, reducing carbon emission to facilitate environmental conservation and disseminating knowledge about consumption of fuel. The regional lawmaker opened the contest by blowing a whistle. In addition three bikes were offered to winners through a lucky draw programme. The activity was participated by the regional lawmakers, guests and enthusiasts.
The event was 9th time of its kind in Monywa City and the 10th mass cycling competition will be held on 29 December.—Win Oo (Zeyar Taing)
