Budalin, 6 August
The township management committee and the Forest Department jointly organized a collective tree planting event at an inter-village road linking Poekon (old) and Poekon (New) villages in Budalin Township, Sagaing Region on August 5.
Chairman of the township management committee Township Administrator of the General Administration Department U Kyaw Moe Lwin, township level departmental officials, staffs from the Forest Department, and villagers joined the activity.
The participants grew a total of 2,700 saplings such as teak and hardwood and distributed 31,620 saplings to locals in the current rainy season.
