MFF to form women futsal team for upcoming SEA Games

Football authorities made a special discussion during the Technical Committee Meeting (3/2020) which was held via online yesterday to form a Myanmar National Women Futsal Team which will compete in the Viet Nam SEA Games next year.

 

MFF officials: U Tin Aung, U Bunny Tin Aung, U Tin Myint Aung, MFF General Secretary U Ko Ko Thein and former national team players attended the videoconference.

 

There was a minute of silence before the meeting to mourn the death of Argentine striker Diego Maradona.

 

During the virtual meeting, football authorities stressed on forming a debut women’s futsal team to compete in the international tourneys especially in the upcoming SEA Games and better preparations for the international championships and qualifiers to be held in 2021.

 

Officials also made suggestions on the training programme of the national team coaches, the appointment of a foreign assistant coach and goalkeeping coach for the national team and the immediate start of training programmes in the near future.

 

Mutual reviews on the three nominees for the new Technical Director, Former team members and committee members also exchanged views before concluding the meeting.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
