Magway Region sees four new virus cases

Magway Region reported four news virus cases on Monday, bringing the total number of virus patients to 2,832, according to figure updated by the Department of Public Health.


There are still people in the region who are free of the virus and are in good health and have been discharged from the hospital. The virus patients on January 11 were from Aunglan, Myaing and Seikphyu Townships.


A contact tracing process is being conducted to expose people who had close contact with the coronavirus patients. Meanwhile, 282 virus patients are being treated at various hospitals in the region, said Dr Khin Maung Than, assistant director of the region's Department of Public Health.


Magway Region recorded 2,832 confirmed covid-19 cases in total, with 2,540 patients discharging from hospital and nine fatalities.
