Palaw 21 January
The final match of an inter-ward/village U-25 men’s Futsal competition was held in conjunction with a prize awarding event at an indoor stadium in Palaw Township, Taninthayi Region on 20 January.
In the final game, the team representing Ward-1 beat the squad representing Magyigon Village and was crowned the champion. Concerned officials presented commemorative gifts to the referees and champion trophy, individual awards and cash to the winning teams and players.
The participating teams were drawn into four groups and only two teams advanced into the final of the event which was organized by the Sports and Physical Education Department under its Township Sports Development Plan (TSDP) and run from 16 to 20 January.—Htoo Wai Yan (IPRD)
