An event to provide cash assistance to the internally displaced people taking shelter at the relief camps was held in Buthidaung Township, Rakhin State on September 24.
On the occasion, officials from the Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided Ks. 44.28 million at the rate of Ks. 40,000 each to 4,985 displaced people from 1,107 families sheltering at five temporary relief camps in Buthidaung Township under the COVID-19 Economic Relief Plan (CERP) through the camp officials.
