Hantharwady United’s veteran player announces retirement from football

Nyi Nyi Aung (1), a veteran footballer who played as a full-back for Hantharwady United (formerly Ottha United) from 2009 until 2020, has officially announced his retirement from football.

 

Nyi Nyi Aung was born on January 23, 1990 and is now 31 years old. He transferred from the Ministry of Mines Football Club, a club in the amateur football league, to Hantharwaddy United Football Club. He was the key player for Hantharwady United when Bago-based football club was crowned the League Cup in 2010 and stood the second position in the Myanmar National League in 2020.

 

Nyi Nyi Aung who has played for Hantharwady United for more than a decade, scored 12 goals in 12 international competitions and scored 147 goals in 147 matches in Myanmar National League.—MNL
