A local police seized two percussion lock firearms from a man in house search, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Based on an anonymous tip off, a police squad raided the hut of a man named Zauk Du aka Arr Phue, 21 near Ahtet Maw Phoung Village in Myitkyina at about 10 a.m. on August 1. They discovered two percussion lock firearms in the hut and detained the man.
The hut owner is being questioned over illegal possession of homemade guns by the local police.
