Free basic and advanced sewing courses were opened at Loom and Vocational Training School (Meikhtila) in the town of Meikhtila, Meikhtila township, Mandalay region this morning.
“The school is sharing technology by running normal courses and short-term vocational courses. Sewing course is one of the courses being opened by the school especially designed for women to get job opportunities to be able to generate family incomes. These are the reasons why we are opening free basic and advanced sewing courses, the school head U Tha Wa said.
A total of 20 female trainees from wards and villages in Meikhtila township will learn sewing courses practically and theoretically from February 17 to April 1.—Thein Myint Kyaw ( Meikhtila)
