Four new virus cases reported in Magway Region

Magway Region recorded four new coronavirus cases on Thursday, bringing the total number of virus caseload to 2,908, according to data updated by the Department of Public Health.


There are still people in the region who are free of the virus and are in good health and have been discharged from the hospital. The infected virus patients on January14 were from Minbu, Salin, and Magway Townships.


A contact tracing process is being conducted to expose people who had close contact with the coronavirus patients. Meanwhile, 273 virus patients are being treated at various hospitals in the region, said Dr Khin Maung Than, assistant director of the region's Department of Public Health.


Magway Region recorded 2,908 confirmed covid-19 cases in total, with 2,626 patients discharging from hospital and nine deaths.
