Officials from the Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided relief supplies to fire victims in Launglon Township, Taninthayi Region on January 18.
Two homes were burnt to ashes in a fire on January 18, making seven people homeless. Officials from the DDM presented 200,000 kyats for purchasing construction materials, 14,700 kyats for buying rice, and 16 kinds of relief supplies to seven fire victims from two families.
The relief items were reportedly supplied to fire victims on a home-to-home basis on January 19.
