Ngape 31 January
A fire broke out in a house of Layeinsu village in Pinoo village-tract in Ngape Township, Minbu District, Magway Region at about 1:30 pm on January 30.
Township authorities, members of Fire Services Department and Police Force, philanthropic organizations and local residents extinguished the fire using nine fire engines and five water tankers and it was totally put out at about 4:40 pm.
The fire was thought to have started from the kitchen and it spread to the wall of the house. The fire engulfed 39 houses and left 142 family members homeless. A total of four people were slightly injured and they were admitted to the hospital.
The fire victims were removed to their relatives and a monastery in the village and the township authorities are arranging to provide food and health care to the victims.
